ordered yuzu hand rolls and rice cakes. both standouts with deceptively generous portions. more than a meal. knife work on the tuna was awesome. really uniform pieces with no gross white liney stuff. yuzu was popping. fun to make yourself and makes five mini tacos! think the rice could have been more vinegared. seaweed paper was also nice. the rice cake was a new preparation relative to the classic goancho and it was nice. very bacon forward!!

When my friend organized a dinner gathering at Momofuku, I knew I couldn't pass up on this opportunity. If you don't know, the owner of Momofuku is trying to trademark the chili crunch. Hence, it's a controversial topic in the foodies scene. I wanted to go to his restaurant to try this popular condiment that is getting people all fired up. Haha. Pun intended. The restaurant charged $1.50 for a small dish. When I went down to Whole Foods, the jar costs $12.99. The hostess was right. My pork belly ramen didn't need the extra spice. It was flavorful enough. She informed me, if I was to order the chicken ramen...she recommended the chili crunch to go with it. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Moreover, I was able to catch up with a couple of friends. Did I bring home the special condiment? Heck yes! The waiter was very nice to put it a big brown paper bag. I guess he saw me taking a lot of pictures of it. Moreover, I was stingy on how much I put in my ramen and on the fried chicken. It went well with the scrambled eggs that I had for breakfast the next day.

Came for lunch with coworkers and tried the crispy potatoes with white bbq sauce ($9) and I ordered just a side of chicken ($4). The chicken was juicy and just pieces of thigh that would go into the noodles and the crispy potatoes were really good especially with the paprika coating! I tried someone else's shrimp bun which wasn't my favorite and was softer than I would've wanted and part of the spicy tuna hand roll which was too spicy for 1/2 of the table. Also apparently you can't bring in outside water bottles. Service was quick and staff were nice though.

Was finally able to get in here...although it was very hard for a Saturday night. Ordered the pork ramen and spicy cucumber salad. The ramen was not too heavy and had the right amount of saltiness to it. The bowl came with some greens and a nice chunky slice of pork. My only complaint is that the ramen portion could have been a little bigger. I was able to eat it rather quickly. But the star of my meal was actually the spicy cucumber salad! It had a nice creamy texture balanced out with almonds...it was the best cucumber salad I've ever had! I would literally go back just for that. The service was also very fast...not sure if it's because I sat at the bar. But they came to check on me a number of times. Not sure which location is better but I have yet to try the East Village one. Will try other flavors in the future.

A nice upscale affair that isn't a must go, but a fun side adventure. I came here after hearing much about Momofuku and having tried their East Village location years ago. I knew this one would be a slightly higher end affair and wasn't disappointed by that aspect. The inside was well put together but not overly gaudy or off putting. It gave off a clean, modern aesthetic that should jive well with any customer. The food was varied as we ordered their ramen, mushroom baos, pork baos, and salad. We were more than full by the end of meal for four people. I found the ramen to be spicer than expected but still very tasteful. I would only say the prices are higher than expected. You can get the same quality without all the fanciness; perhaps that comes it being in the Columbus Circle mall.

This location of Momofuku is located in the shops at Columbus Circle and is a nice sit down option that isn't quite so upscale. We showed up with 2 people at the prime lunch time hour on a weekend and were told we could put our names down for counter seats (two long counters line either side of the restaurant) and it would be about a 45 minute wait. They texted us closer to 20 minutes later that our seats were ready. The counter is not super comfortable, which probably is by design - it encourages people to eat and leave, rather than linger. The seats are very tight and there isn't a lot of counter space in front of you either. We each ordered the chicken ramen, which took quite a while to come out (something like 20-30 minutes - the people that sat down next to us ordered and finished eating a whole round of appetizers come out before our ramen came out). The ramen itself was very good; the broth was flavorful and the ingredients (chicken, vegetables, noodles) were high quality. It didn't blow me away, and at $20 is definitely on the pricey side, but I was happy with it. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but would definitely come back if I happened to be at the shops.

finally made it to Momofuku Noodle Bar for a late weekend lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The staff truly went above and beyond, surprising us with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and desserts, which made the celebration feel even more special. I didn't get to explore much of the restaurant but we sat near the entrance in a booth that fit the 5 of us well. The food, as expected, was phenomenal. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and each one impressed: * Truffle Ramen: Warm, flavorful, and perfectly comforting. This was a table favorite, with its rich broth and delicate truffle essence. * Pork Belly Buns: My personal favorite. The pork belly was generously portioned--each bun had a large, crispy yet tender, fatty slice of meat that melted in your mouth. Absolute perfection. * Tuna Handrolls: The Yuzu ones were fresh and light, though we all agreed the Spicy Tuna Handrolls stood out more. The spicy tuna was packed with flavor, not overly spicy, and had the right balance of richness. * Dry Spiced Wings: A huge serving and cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy, flavorful, and great for sharing. * Momofuku Salad: Surprisingly memorable. The dressing was fantastic, and it held up well even as leftovers--definitely a unique and satisfying dish. * Crispy Potatoes: A standout side dish. The serving was generous, the potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the accompanying sauce added an extra layer of deliciousness. * Cucumber Salad: A simple but refreshing dish that provided a nice balance to the richer items on the table. * Miso Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies: A solid dessert--soft, sweet, and a great way to end the meal. * Matcha Chocolate Tart: This dessert was unforgettable. The sesame whip was so unique, and the tart itself was not too sweet, striking the perfect balance. It was the ideal ending to an already incredible meal. * Coconut Soft Serve: Creamy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings--another dessert highlight we couldn't stop talking about. For drinks, the Spicy Margaritas were a hit with my friends. I had the White Peach Cosmo on Tap, which was a little too sweet for my taste but still enjoyable. The absolute highlight of the meal was the service. Despite coming in right before the kitchen closed, the staff went above and beyond. They attentive, warm, and made us feel like we were VIP the entire time. It was hands-down our favorite part of the experience. This is a great place to take friends if you're visiting or are craving a bite after a long day of shopping at Columbus Circle.

5/5 food, but 3/5 service. I've heard mixed reviews about momofuku so I was expecting to be unimpressed by the food but everything was actually delicious. My bf and I shared an order of pork buns which were DELICIOUS, perfectly crisp on the outside but tender/melty on the inside. I think this is the one dish from momofuku that I've heard consistently stellar reviews for. We also both got the smoked pork ramen which was amazing. I loved that pork remained crispy despite being soaked in soup, and the broth wasn't too salty so I was able to actually drink it (unlike a lot of ramen dishes). As for drinks, I ordered a milk tea which I wouldn't get again because it tasted kind of watered down. Also, service was mid. It took a very long time before we got our ramen so we thought they forgot about our order. After we finished eating, no one came by for 15+ min so we just sat there until we saw our server pass by again and we flagged them down. We walked in around 7pm on a friday night and were able to get seated in 20 min at the bar, but would recommend making a reservation bc it gets really crowded.
